Tiffany Haddish has set social media abuzz with a cryptic Instagram post that left fans wondering: Did the comedian just reveal she had a baby?
The 45-year-old star shared a joint post with her friend Jason Lee, the vice mayor of Stockton, California, and CEO of Hollywood Unlocked, on August 3. The photos showed Haddish cradling an infant while Lee stood beside her, his hand resting on a stroller. The playful caption—“Cats out the bag ❤️”—only fueled more confusion.
Fans React: “What Does This Mean?”
The post quickly drew reactions from followers and celebrities alike. Actress Tasha Smith summed up the general bewilderment in the comments, writing, “What does this mean?” Others joked that the “cat” was still very much in the bag, given the lack of context about the baby’s identity.
Haddish doubled down on the mystery the next day, posting a clip from a family trip to Six Flags with the cheeky caption: “Spent the day at Six Flags with the fam. What’d I miss?”
So, Did Tiffany Haddish Have a Baby?
While some speculated about a possible secret adoption or surrogacy, makeup artist Rolexis Schinsing playfully claimed godmother status in a comment and an Instagram Story that Haddish reshared. “I finally get to tell everyone about my godchild!! 🤣,” she wrote.
However, it appears the baby in question is not Haddish’s. Jason Lee later clarified in his post that the child is Major, the 6-month-old grandson of his cousin, Natasha “Tasha” Brown. Lee gave a “shoutout to my commissioner Natasha Brown … for inspiring the young ladies of the South Stockton Vikings cheer squad and giving them the chance to meet Tiffany.”

The Girls Trip star has been vocal about her struggles with endometriosis and pregnancy loss. In a May 2024 interview with People, she revealed she had suffered eight miscarriages, calling the experiences “devastating.” She also appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, joking about dating a “roster” of people but never confirming any plans for motherhood.
