Good Farmer Food Concepts, the parent company behind Maverick & Farmer Coffee and Square Burgers & Co., has raised $1.5 million in an ongoing pre-Series A funding round.
The round was led by investment firm CreedCap, with participation from Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna, former Indian cricket team captain Rahul Dravid, and Meraki Sport & Entertainment.
The company plans to deploy the fresh capital to expand its national café footprint, invest in research and production infrastructure, and strengthen its retail and consumer products vertical.
A key focus of the retail business is building multiple SKUs of specialty coffee roasts while enhancing the home-brewing experience through curated brewing equipment. New café launches are planned across Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Goa, and Bengaluru.
Currently, the company operates seven outlets across Bengaluru and Goa and expects to scale this to ten outlets by the end of the year.
Founded by Ashish D’abreo, Sreeram Gangadharan, and Tej Thammaiah, Good Farmer Food Concepts operates across specialty coffee, cafés, and health-forward food brands.
Its flagship brand, Maverick & Farmer Coffee, follows a farm-to-cup specialty coffee model, spanning cafés, retail products, and a growing B2B presence. Square Burgers & Co., meanwhile, is positioned as a modern fast-food brand with a strong focus on health and quality ingredients.
“Before expanding, we ensured that our people and operations were completely in place. Once that foundation was strong, we began exploring funding and new locations. Every Maverick & Farmer Café is designed to tell its own story and connect with a distinct community. With Square Burgers, our aim was to experiment with health-forward fast food. This funding round has helped us bring those ideas to life,” said Sreeram Gangadharan, Co-founder, Good Farmer Food Concepts.
“I’ve seen Maverick & Farmer grow from the very beginning, and what stands out is the honesty and intent behind the brand. Their commitment to quality and experimentation while staying true to their roots is rare. I’m proud to continue supporting their journey and excited about what lies ahead,” said Rohan Bopanna.
