Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has announced two significant leadership appointments to its Board, strengthening its governance and financial leadership as the company prepares for its next phase of growth and transformation.
Niranjan Gupta Appointed Whole-time Director & CFO
The Board has appointed Niranjan Gupta as Whole-time Director, Finance & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a tenure of five years, effective November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2030.
The appointment received overwhelming shareholder approval, with over 98% votes cast in favour.
In its statement, the Board expressed strong confidence in Gupta’s leadership, highlighting his role in steering HUL through its “next phase of growth and transformation.” His appointment is seen as pivotal amid evolving consumer demand, margin pressures, and increased focus on digital and premiumisation strategies within the FMCG sector.
Bobby Parikh Joins as Independent Director
HUL also announced the appointment of Bobby Parikh as an Independent Director for a five-year term from December 1, 2025, to November 30, 2030. This appointment secured over 98% shareholder approval, underscoring investor confidence in the Board’s composition.
Parikh brings deep expertise in corporate governance and board leadership. He currently serves as an Independent Director on the boards of leading Indian corporates, including Infosys and Biocon, adding significant governance strength and strategic oversight to HUL’s Board.

These appointments come at a crucial time for Hindustan Unilever as it navigates inflationary trends, changing consumption patterns, and long-term portfolio transformation.
